Tamil cinema could not achieve great success when it comes to setting stories in a foreign location. Vikram does not get much to dilute his acting glory but there is ample opportunity to shine as a star and play in the gallery. In one scene, we see him burning a cigar with a gash stitched in his stomach. He speaks fiercely and even when he does a few scenes, he draws on a few words. It's an interesting character with layers but it's disappointing that it doesn't spread properly. For the last time, KK remains a mysterious character. kabira2z, There are a few plus points to Kadram Kondo though: the background score is kept to a minimum (and this is a blessing relief in a situation where music is immersed in conversation), and Vikram speaks very little, choosing to tell what he wants through his eyes and delicate gestures. Wow. The character (Kamal Hassan's daughter) shows a lot of promise in her debut act which reminds me of her mother Sarika, who was a brilliant actress. The rest of the cast is solidly defined, looking more like caricatures. The protagonist, protagonist and villain rolled into one of the film as the actors were stylish, submissive and perfectly riveting. The director sustains the film by capturing the audience by speculating about his identity. The movie leaves us in doubt as to whether he is a mercenary, a driver, a safe-cracker or a police turned-rouge.
